Anand left Ramayya's house, the farmer's reassurances ringing in his ears. Ramayya, however, immediately received a call. He lifted it and talked, his face tightening with suppressed tension, a fear he couldn't vocalize.

Early the next morning, Anand arrived at Raghava's house with Ramayya. Ramayya's expressions were a little disturbed, something was clearly troubling him, but he couldn't bring himself to confide in Anand.
